Overview

Manmohan Mishra is pursuing classical santoor as his hobby as an amateur artist. He is a Musician by passion and a Taxman by profession as he is working as an Officer in the Income tax Department at Kanpur. Mishra is a Law Graduate in addition to his Bachelor Degrees in Commerce and Education. He has completed his Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti in the subjects Santoor, Tabla and Vocal. Mishra is one of the favourite disciples of great musician and sitar maestro Late Pt. Satish Chandra. Currently, he is learning Santoor under the expert guidance of Santoor Maestra Mrs. Shruti Adhikari who is a disciple of all time great Santoor Legend Padma Vibhushan Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma. He has performed Santoor all over India on various prestigious platforms such as Birla Auditorium, Jaipur, East Zone Cultural Centre and Science City Auditorium, Kolkata, BHU, Amity NOIDA, CSOI New Delhi, Chennai, Ludhiana, Kanpur. He has also explored Harmonica (Mouth Organ) since a very young age and proceeded to its advanced methods and techniques.
